DIALOGUE SCRIPT - PREPRODUCTION PLANNING

Script

This script has all the spoken dialogue in our entire film.
Zoe represents our female character and Jordan our male.

Key:  (.) Indicates a brief pause
Numbers in brackets indicate a length of pause in seconds
Words underlined are spoken simultaneously
Other contextual information is in italics in square brackets.

Zoe:            Have you listened to the whole album?

 

Jordan:       [shyly looks at her] (1) sorry?

 

Jordan:       [looks down at iPod] oh. No not yet.

 
Zoe:             I have (.)Thought it was their best album yet

Jordan:       [still looking at iPod] [nods head]

Zoe:             I want to go see them preform again (2)

Zoe:             have you seen them live?

Jordan:        nope. (2)

Jordan:        [still looking at iPod] I’ve always wanted to though.

Zoe:             they are really good actually, seen them 3 times now, their much better than most artists are live must say (1)

Zoe:              so where you from then?
 
Jordan:         [looks at her] well I live  

Zoe:                                             originally (.) I meant 

 

Jordan:         oh. (.) Trinidad and Tobago (.) you know it? 

 

Zoe:               yeh, that’s in the Caribbean right? (.) That’s actually so cool (.) I’d love to go there.

Jordan:          [smiles]

  

Zoe:                [smiles]

[Voices fade out]

Announcer:    [the next station is Winterberry station]

Jordan:           [looks at her] well this is my stop(2)
 

Jordan:           [looks at watch] wow those couple hours went quickly(.)

Zoe:                well it was really nice meeting you 

Jordan:           [looks at her] was nice meeting you too [starts to get up]

 

[he walks away then comes back]

Jordan:            [holds up mobile] forgot my phone
